Today, we built our own water filters out of recycled materials. We used plastic bottles, paper towels, water and gravel. Two boys went to collect gravel from the yard and we mixed it into the water to make it really dirty. We built our filters and poured the water through. We wanted to show how one of the processes works for getting water ready to be drank. This process is called filtration.
From modest beginnings in 1995, Global Action Plan Ireland have grown into a mature, national organisation that empowers as many communities as possible to adopt a greener lifestyle and thereby play their role in protecting planet Earth.
