As part of our Water Day Festival, we linked up with another school in the area Santa Sabina in Sutton. We decided that we would divide up  our activities on our Water Day to show as many water saving activities as possible. We researched how water is treated in Ireland (SEE DIAGRAM BELOW)

We looked at the process of cleaning water and found our that once water is dirty it is very difficult to clean it. Particularly if polluted by human or farm waste. We realised that many people across the world do not have access to clean water or the means to clean it.  We wanted to demonstrate the difficulty of cleaning polluted water. We wanted to show that every drop of water counts so Santa Sabina set up experiments/demonstrations showing how the water cycle works ,how a cloud forms and finally how you could clean water...which is very difficult especially in developing countries. The visiting primary schools were impressed with our demonstration and our message.
