Post related to Clean that water up!

Before we started our activities with Doğa Kids, we learned about the importance of water in our lives. We are equipped with information about 75% of our body is made of water, waterless life is impossible, ¾ of our Earth is covered with water, nature needs water and there is a water  circulation.

It is known that only 2.5% of the world's water is fresh water, which means that 70% of it is in the ice, earth, atmospheric, underground water, and is in an unusable state. It is known that the water requirement increases day by day with the increase of world population. Every year, 2 million people, mostly children, suffocate and lose their lives due to inappropriate water use and bad conditions. For this reason, we have learned that it is very important to have the water and the water resources are clean.

In our Water Cleaning Activity we searched how the water treatment was done and we did a simple purification experiment with the materials that they thought about what materials could be used.

We have organized a trip to the Çiğli Waste Water Treatment Facility in our vicinity. We learned that there are pools for this and that each pool has a different role in water purification.

We provided our students to design their own experiments by using their own scientific research records.
