In our school there are 100 1st year students so Greenschools and YSI came together and planned a Water Festival for all of them in our school canteen. We started off with two presentations one about Water and global warming and the other one about homelessness and upcycling. We organized for Dublin radio station Spin 1038 to come to our school and give out prizes and play music. They also interviewed our students about water issues. We played game such as guessing how much water was in everyday items and how much water it took to produce them. The 1st years then went around to our different stations. the first station was upcycling and planting rocket plants. There was also a poster competition and a demonstration on how to clean dirty water. We then did a quiz with them about the information in our presentations to check their awraeness. After we corrected the quizzes and poster competition and gave out the prizes to the best!!! Over all it was a great day and everyone had fun,but most importantly learned a lot about water issues.
