The Misty Team awarded Global School of the Week
Posted on 26 March 2019

Congratulations to the Misty team from Gozo College Middle School for being awarded Global Water Explorer Team of the Week!

This team has been making some seriously positive waves. They recently organised their Water Festival which took place on a public holiday and they invited everyone on Malta and Gozo. They combined their annual walk for water to collect money for water pumps in Kenya, an exhibition, gave away specially made seedpacks using newspaper pulp containing seeds of indigenous plants, informed about the SDGs, encouraged action against climate change and much more. They spread their message all over the social media, contacted the Department of Information and the local TV channel. They also convinced two foreign schools they were collaborating with, one from Poland and one from Turkey to do the Walk for Water as well.

Amazing work and well done!
