Ethiopian Water Explorers
Posted by Corbridge Middle School, United Kingdom on 17 July 2019
Post related to Global Water Connections,

Corbridge Middle School has just been awarded a Connecting Classrooms grant from the British Council to work with schools in Ethiopia. We will run joint projects on Clean Water (SDG6) and Climate Action (SDG13). In the autum pupils in Ethiopia and in the Tyne Valley in England will be doing the Water Explorer 'Clean that Water Up' challenge. The pupils will share their results and talk to each other via video link online. This year's Tyne Team have alredy started to research what Ethiopia is like.

Six local UK schools are paired with 6 schools in Addis. The Ethiopian teachers will visit the UK in October 2019 and the UK teachers will go to Addis in February 2020. The pupils will learn about life in a very different country which will give them a real insight into what it means to be a #GlobalCitizen and will encourage everyone to discuss how we can save water resources.
