The Thembelihle Tadpoles worked out some extraordinarily shocking figures when they measured how much water each learners uses on average to wash their hands. We assumed that most of us washed our hands at least 2 times per day and we checked and saw that most of us use around 2litres under a running tap!! We worked out how much we use for the whole school and it is a crazy 4640litres per week - that is nearly one big jojo tank!! We think we can do a lot better than this and will now encourage our school to wash their hands differently.. watch this space
