The class teacher asked the class to take photos of themselves doing water saving activities. These were sent to the teacher via Whatsapp or email.
During the time allocated to do the presentation, the teacher put a power point together using the input and photos of the learners.
Learners did the survey, answered the questions and did the calculations of water we can save.
This was something different than the normal academic work and they were very enthusiastic about the task. The learners were also very surprised at how much water can be saved by doing small things in and around the house and making changes in the ways they use water.
