This challenges was done by 2 classes (Grade 12 and 10). We calculated the amount of secret water in foods people consume most of the time. Then we calculated how much secret water is in the recommended water wise menus. Afterwards we calculated how much secret water is saved by following our water wise menus. We printed recipes that are water wise and put some together into a recipe book. We were amazed at how much water goes into making various foods, especially meat products and pledged to eat less meat. They were very enthusiastic to design menus that were wiser to the environment, but still delicious.
