Recycle your Needs

To celebrate World Environment Day, we shredded old newspaper and soaked this in water for about a week. We collected horse manure and added this to the soaked newspaper. We added green food colouring to give it a light green colour. We then used the sieve and frame to collect the soaked material. This we put onto a plastic sheet and dried it in the sun. We made 16 sheets of recycled paper. We learnt we could use horse manure to give it texture; that we can make paper out of old paper we don’t use anymore and that we needed to make our samples thinner for them to be more effective and useful. We would like to make more recycled paper from used paper so we can save paper which we always need.
