Old Tyre Veggie Gardens
Posted by Summerhill Prep School, South Africa on 3 September 2018
Post related to Grow it yourself!,

Our grade 4, 5 and 7 students all took part in making vegetable gardens from old tyres. They took tyres and filled them with soil and compost, and then planted vegetable seedlings into them. These tyres were placed at the bottom of the school close to the stream so that we could water the plants directly from the stream. The grade 4 students also planted flower gardens around the bases of the trees. They filled the tyres with soil and planted flower seeds. This area of our school is used as a picnic area during break times.
