Playing in the mud upstream, but we cant do it downstream ...

We have joined the official Assagay Conservancy management locally, so we are now both members of the Madwala Nature Reserve and Assagay Conservancies. In our Assagay Conservancy AGM meeting last night we identified a looming environmental emergency distaster management area and what is required to try solve this issue is for us to do water testing at various places along the Umhlatazana river that runs central to these areas. Then we can assess, brainstorm recommendations and approuch the various sakeholders and businesses responsible for these environmental breaches.

Now we need to purchase a Water Testing kit - a full kit consisting also of the chemical etc testing equipment. The municipal bodies responsible for these tests in the past are no longer operational or trustworthy so we need to take matters in our own hands asap. Watch this space...
