Wetland Bird Hides and Raised Walkways

In an effort to make our schools wetland more appealing and exciting to go to, the Cowan House Ecokidz took time out of their holiday to construct a raised walkway from one of the bird hides to the dam wall. They also worked on clearing the wetland of invasive plant species.

The reasons behind the building of these walkways and bird hides is to encourage the Cowan House staff, as well as the Cowan House families, to come spend time exploring the wetland and all that it has to offer. Much learning happens outdoors and this area is ideal for children to learn and discover new things.
