Working with waste
Posted by Phumelelani Primary, South Africa on 14 June 2019

After doing the thirsty paper challenge learner learns that 10 litres of water were used for every A4 paper produced. That is the water that is used to grow the trees, boil the wood chips, screen and bleach the paper. Today we made a Paper maché project whereby Junior Water Explorers of Phumelelani school prepared their paper mache using Greywater, flour, vaseline, empty yoghurt and margarine containers to shape their beautiful rubber and pencil cases.
