The learners had a great lesson since they learnt about different wetlands and their ecological & economic services they provide and their importance in sustaining biodiversity. We learnt that wetlands purify, filters waste and clean our water for free, and also act as a sponge to absorb water, stores and release them in times of droughts. The practical experience on how to filtrate water was conducted which  gave learners a hands on experience.

We also had a read aloud day, which we have done by promoting spekboom & solar cooker and speech on climate change. We also celebrated wetlands day by being visited by Deputy Mayor who also attended the event which was a plus for us, & learners appreciated his presence by sharing their knowledge with those who attended the day.
